My hand was crushed 25 years ago and I still function now at 100%... I can't curl a tight fist but that's why God gave us two to work with.... you big pussy.

How did you break your hand? Doing construction work?

Crawling along the floor of a hydroelectric turbine trying to get up in a different section we needed to recore. Somebody untied the safely lines to the scaffolding up top and tried to shift it to save time. It got jammed between the walls, there was no alarm sounded, and I was coming out on my belly below to go vertical, it all shifted/slammed down on my left hand as I was emerging. A few seconds later, I'd have been dead.

Anybody who doubts what adrenaline can do for strength should look at how much weight I lifted off my hand while I was on my belly.

My hand had hundreds of shards in the xray and I found out later that the hospital wanted to amputate.

But, a doctor there had a friend from down south who he knew was on vacation in the area....and he was a specialist hand and foot surgeon.

That guy saved my hand by putting it back together like a 3D puzzle while I was knocked out.

He had cut short his holiday just to save a hand in a regional hospital. I never got to thank him for that but wish I could.

I nearly crushed my hand when I first started working at Moli Energy. I was asked to clear a stuck cell in the crimper. My first day and she didn't tell me there was a switch to turn off the psi. I started trying to jiggle the cell to take it out. If I got it, my hand would have been crushed. The trainer came finally came around the corner and told me about the switch.

You can't attack somebody then expect they carry on the convo with your story in niceties.

My hand can't take a hard punch but it can wield a blade quite easily.

Pray you never find out.

Good stuff!

A have a few loose shards in my left hand. Shards came off my index finger and full-spiral cracking down both my little and ring fingers. Smashed into a stationary car doing on illegal U-turn just behind a blind-rise at 70 kms/hr. Went into multiple spins and the actually inertia did the damage to my hand. The steering wheel was buckled from the force of hand coupled with the impact. It throbs only in Winter thank fuck...

They say lipstick was originally used to accentuate the lips, making them fuller-looking and emulate the aroused vulva. So they say...  ac_razz

Lipstick and all make-up was pioneered in Western cultures to lend a feminity with male actors pretending to be female for their skit or stage play.

Women weren't allowed to act at the time.

It was an all male endeavour.

Women tried to subvert this by adopting stocking, wigs, higher heels, and even more make-up... then they began stealing piercings (first on their ears, then later on their bits), pants, and tattoos. I'm not talking 20th century but centuries before.

Nearly everything that is considered feminine by today's standards was once something only men did.

But that's what women do... they subvert.
