Biden bought a 10,000 square-foot mansion in Greenville, Delaware for $185,000 in 1974.

At the time he had recently become a senator on a salary of $42,500.
He went on to sell the house for $1.2 million - more than six times what he paid for it - in 1996.

However, according to property website Redfin, it is currently only worth $1.6 million in 2023. if its value tracked with the rest of the Delaware housing market, would be expected to have been worth around $700,000 in 1996.

Biden called it 'The Station' and it was the headquarters for his first presidential campaign in 1988, when he dropped out after being caught plagiarizing the British politician Neil Kinnock in a speech.

The story of how Biden sold the mansion was a minor controversy in Delaware politics in the 1990s when he was a senator.

He sold it for his asking price of $1.2 million to the vice chairman of credit-card company MBNA, at the time the largest employer in Delaware.

In the same year, MBNA employees contributed $62,850 to Biden for his Senate re-election campaign, and the house buyer donated the maximum $2,000.

Also that year, Biden's son Hunter was hired by MBNA and went on to become a senior vice president.

Later, between 2001 and 2005, Hunter was re-hired as a consultant by the company on a monthly retainer.

Huge numbers of corrupt politicians are getting kickbacks like that via real estate.  Great aGavin Newscum did that same.

The House Republicans' unanimous support for Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) in last week's speaker vote may indicate that GOP lawmakers are finally ready to act like Democrats.

For taxpayers, that would be the best news in many, many years. Bringing Democrats' level of enthusiasm, tenacity, and unparalleled political acumen to a fight for a smaller national government and a respect for individual rights might just save the nation — if anything can.

As a fiscal conservative, Mike Johnson knows America's current spending trajectory is dangerously unsustainable. The federal deficit hit $2 trillion in fiscal year 2023 — double what it was the previous year — fueling the inflation that has imposed a nearly 20% across-the-board tax on American families. Now, the Biden administration wants to pour kerosene on this fire with $106 billion in unpaid-for supplemental funding for Ukraine, border processing, Israel, and other matters.

House Republicans must immediately return our focus to cutting spending through the appropriations process.

Mike Johnson needs to stop money going to Ukraine and Israel.

A judge has overturned the results of the Democrat primary for the mayoral race in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after viewing compelling evidence of voter fraud. His ruling creates chaos for the general election that is scheduled to take place in just a few days.

On September 12, incumbent Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim narrowly edged out challenger John Gomes by a mere 251-vote margin in the Democrat primary. Primary election day ballots favored Gomes, but after absentee ballots were tallied later that evening, Ganim prevailed over Gomes, 4,212 to 3,961.

Within days, the Gomes camp cried foul, posting a video to Facebook that appeared to show Wanda Geter-Pataky, a city employee and a long-standing supporter of Mayor Ganim, stuffing a ballot box outside City Hall with absentee ballots. The Gomes campaign later issued similar allegations against Eneida Martinez, a former city council member who also supports Ganim.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams' campaign is currently under investigation after allegedly receiving illegal foreign donations, the New York Times reported Thursday.

On Thursday morning, the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs, a top fundraiser for Adams.

The search warrant for Suggs' home, obtained by the Times, revealed that Adams' campaign is under investigation for receiving alleged foreign donations from the government of Turkey.

We will see if the battleground states continue to trust Trump more than Biden on the issues that matter most.

Polls show Biden trailing Trump in battlegrounds by wide margins one year before 2024 election

One year before the 2024 election, polls show President Joe Biden trailing Republican frontrunner Donald Trump in five of six critical battleground states as voters expressed more trust in the GOP to deal with pressing issues facing the nation.

If the ballot was held today, Biden would lose to Trump by up to 10% in the battlegrounds of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania as concerns were growing about the president's age and his ongoing handling of the economy, according to a new poll by The New York Times and Siena College. Biden was only leading in Wisconsin by two points after he carried all six in the 2020 election.

The president is now trailing Trump with an average of about 44% to 48%. Many  voters have turned sour on Biden's policies nearly three years into his term.

Polls show Biden's lead slipping with voters under the age of 30, and among Hispanic voters, whose support was down in urban and rural regions nationwide.

Biden continued to hold strong support from women, while men were leaning toward Trump by a significantly larger margin.

In a historic shift notable to Democrats, 22% of Black voters said they planned to support the Republican nominee.

More voters said they believed Trump could deliver improved financial conditions for the country and that he was better equipped to keep the United States out of war.
