Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez Waqas found guilty on all counts in federal corruption case.

The charges against Menendez included conspiracy, bribery, extortion, obstruction of justice, and acting as a foreign agent of Egypt while the senator was a chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.

Prosecutors said that the senator had received gold bars and even a Mercedes-Benz vehicle in exchange for political influence. They also found nearly half a million dollars in cash at his residence.

Democrats will probably nominate him for the Supreme Court.

Trump currently faces four separate prosecutions, all of which at least potentially are impacted by the Supreme Court's ruling.

One of the cases brought against Trump is led by Special Counsel Jack Smith, alleging that Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election outcome by spreading false election-fraud claims. The indictment listed four counts against Trump, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights. Another, currently being tried in Florida, charges the former president with improperly handling classified documents. This case has been dismissed, for now, by U. S. District Judge Eileen Cannon. A third trial centering on alleged payments made by Trump as hush money to Stormy Daniels ended in May. A fourth state prosecution brought by DA Fani Willis charges Trump with violations of Georgia state law based on post-election calls to Georgia state officials.

U.S. prosecutors have started dropping obstruction charges against defendants alleged to have been involved in the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol, in the wake of a crucial Supreme Court decision.

Government prosecutors informed defendants and the judge overseeing the defendants' cases that it will drop charges brought under federal law Section 1512(c)(2) in light of the ruling from the nation's top court, according to a July 15 filing.

"This decision was made in order to avoid disruption to the trial schedule for a five-defendant case, and the dismissal eliminates the need for additional litigation as to the sufficiency of the Section 1512 charge as applied to these defendants," the prosecutors told the judge.

Donald Trump seems different today than he did in either 2016 or 2020. He seems a lot more presidential. He mentioned Biden, like once at the RNC. He is the oddas on favourite this time.

If Jim Crow Joe cannot continue in the highly demanding job as president if he can not continue to campaign. it doesn't make sense to say he is not fit to campaign, but he is fit to govern.

Democrats fall inline as soon as the big money donors who own that party tell them to do so.

I could not stomach the GOP before Trump. They were corporatists, they supported bad trade policies, they supported open borders, and they loved feeding the military industrial complex. Exactly like the Democrats. With one exception-the GOP pandered to religious fundamentalists.

Trump opposes all of that shit. None of it is good for the working class. I don't care where the old GOP goes, as long as they go away and stay away.

The NYTs and left wing media in general are such low I.Q. propaganda.  These articles are just 10 days apart.  Ten fucking days.

First: It is a right wing conspiracy theory that Dem elites want to replace Joe Biden.  Then: We are so happy Joe Biden has been replaced!

A decent video about Biden dropping out and why Kamala was chosen as the new fall guy.  Dems know Kamala won't win and she is seen as expendable so they can claim they supported her and gave her a chance but she lost.  BTW Pelosi and the other party elites got Biden out by telling big donors to stop donating not just to Biden but for all down ticket candidates as well.  That got the rest of the rats to turn on Biden to save their own skins.

That is why the donor money started flooding in the day Biden stepped down.  They were paying off Dems for agreeing to speak out against Biden.  That was the quid pro quo.

BTW no one is going to step up to challenge Kamala.  It is not because she is a great candidate, she isn't, it is because most top Dems already believe Trump will win and they don't want to get tied to a failed presidency and an unpopular candidate.  Kamala is the designated fall guy so Dems can say they gave her a chance knowing she is not going to win.  This is just about optics and hoping to save down ballot races.

That it also gets Kamala out of the way is a bonus.

The latest whisper campaign is Joe Biden didn't have covid but instead suffered a minor stroke.  Not sure if this is worth putting much stock in but proof of life via a live appearance would put this speculation to rest.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) filed articles of impeachment against Vice President Harris on Tuesday, as Republicans ramp up attacks while she launches a presidential campaign.

The filing expands on previously introduced articles that target Harris's record on immigration, a GOP rallying cry against the vice president.

He added a second article in the new filing, which claims Harris covered up President Biden's mental well-being, constituting a "breach of public trust." While Biden ended his reelection campaign Monday, he has maintained that he will finish his term and is in good health.

"Kamala Devi Harris has knowingly misled the people of the United States and the Congress of the United States, principally to obfuscate the physical and cognitive well-being of the President of the United States, Joe Biden," the filing reads.

The initial articles, filed June 12, 2023, claim Harris has "demonstrated extraordinary incompetence in the execution of her duties and responsibilities, a stark refusal to uphold the existing immigration laws, and a palpable indifference to people of the United States suffering as a result of the ongoing southern border crisis in the United States."
