The MyPillow founder and CEO is sleeping easy after reaching a settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over allegations regarding the 2020 election.

Dominion, which is now known as Liberty Vote, filed the defamation lawsuit against Mike Lindell in 2021 and sought $1.3 billion in damages.

On Monday, five years later, Lindell's attorneys and the company filed to end the lawsuit with prejudice after settling out of court. The "with prejudice" condition restricts the same lawsuit from being filed in the future.

Liberty Vote said in a statement only that "the parties have agreed to a confidential settlement to this matter."

A Virginia law prohibiting federal immigration agents from wearing masks is likely unconstitutional, a U.S. judge ruled on June 30.

"The Mask/Identity Statute directly regulates the conduct of federal law enforcement in the enforcement of the federal immigration laws," in violation of the U.S. Constitution's supremacy clause, Judge Robert Payne of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said in a three-page decision.

The clause says federal law is the "supreme Law of the Land" and has been interpreted by courts to prevent states from legislating in areas that would impede the federal government.

The law had been set to take effect on July 1.

On Tuesday, Gen Z upstart Melat Kiros trounced longtime incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette in the Democratic primary for the 1st Congressional District of Colorado, representing much of Denver. With 81% of the vote reported, Kiros holds a lead of nearly 10 points, 51.3% to DeGette's 41.7%, according to NBC News.

The Supreme Court's decision in the birthright citizenship case cannot be sugarcoated: It is a disaster.

In the late 1990s, Walmart was eyeing China. Labor costs were rising at home. China offered millions of workers willing to manufacture goods for pennies an hour.
There was one problem. Strict US trade barriers made it difficult to move American factory jobs overseas. So corporate America launched a multi‑million dollar lobbying campaign in Washington. The promise: free trade with China would create a safer, wealthier world for everyone.
In 2000, Congress granted China Permanent Normal Trade Relations. Walmart was ready.
By 2001, China joined the WTO. Walmart's suppliers moved production overseas. American factories began closing. Between 2001 and 2013, Walmart's imports from China displaced over 400,000 American jobs, about 13% of the 3.2 million manufacturing jobs lost to China during that period.
Those 400,000 jobs weren't numbers. They were factory workers in Ohio. Textile mills in the Carolinas. Furniture makers in North Carolina. Entire towns that never recovered.
Today, Walmart is the single largest U.S. importer from China, 11.2% of all American imports, worth roughly $49 billion. About 60% of Walmart's imports still come from China. The same company that built its fortune on American consumers built its supply chain to replace American workers.
Defenders of Walmart say: they gave Americans "Everyday Low Prices." They created jobs in retail and logistics. They were just responding to consumer demand.
Critics say: that's corporate spin. Walmart didn't just respond to the market, they built the supply chain that gutted American manufacturing. They pressured suppliers to move to China, squeezed American factories until they closed, and built an empire on the backs of displaced workers.
So here's the question: If millions of Americans willingly bought the cheaper products, who deserves the blame? Walmart? Washington? China?
Or consumers themselves?
