Spain could be about to be governed by a coalition that includes a far-right party for the first time since the Francisco Franco dictatorship ended in 1975, propelled in part by frustration surrounding a drought and the environmental measures that are in place to ameliorate it.

BTW,  on the change the laws so that primaries have to actually be run following democratic norms front, I remind people that in 2016 Bernie Sanders sued the DNC for giving Hillary the debate questions ahead of time (but not to Bernie) as well as rigging Caucus states by barring Bernie supporters from entering caucuses (only Hillary supporters allowed in), and by allowing super delegates who had more votes in who became the nominee than voters could award to candidates via elections.  The DNC openly argued in the Supreme Court that political parties are just "private clubs" which did not legally have to be democratic and that they could rig primaries any way they pleased.  The Democratic majority of partisan hacks on the court at the time agreed that no democracy was actually needed or required.
