Lee/Jackson day is coming up in 2 weeks! I hope y'all got your Southern flags ready to fly!!!

I know here at the great Blue Cashew, we can discuss things civilly. If you still think that the War of Northern Aggression was over slavery, I'd like to set the record straight. Ask me anything!!!!

For now, I will share this piece, for it has to do with Virginia!! I could add much more to this piece, but will simply share it as it is......

"Virginia did not secede in defense of slavery. Indeed, when Lincoln was inaugurated, March 4, 1861, Virginia was still in the Union. Only South Carolina, Georgia and the five Gulf states had seceded and created the Confederate States of America.

At the firing on Fort Sumter, April 12-13, 1861, the first shots of the Civil War, Virginia was still inside the Union. Indeed, there were more slave states in the Union than in the Confederacy. But, on April 15, Lincoln issued a call for 75,000 volunteers from the state militias to march south and crush the new Confederacy.

Two days later, April 17, Virginia seceded rather than provide soldiers or militia to participate in a war on their brethren. North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas followed Virginia out over the same issue. They would not be a party to a war on their kinfolk.

Slavery was not the cause of this war. Secession was -- that and Lincoln's determination to drown the nation in blood if necessary to make the Union whole again.

Nor did Lincoln ever deny it.

In his first inaugural, Lincoln sought to appease the states that had seceded by endorsing a constitutional amendment to make slavery permanent in the 15 states where it then existed. He even offered to help the Southern states run down fugitive slaves.

In 1862, Lincoln wrote Horace Greeley that if he could restore the Union without freeing one slave he would do it. The Emancipation Proclamation of Jan. 1, 1863, freed only those slaves Lincoln had no power to free -- those still under Confederate rule. As for slaves in the Union states of Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri, they remained the property of their owners." Patrick Buchanan

Virginia is a blue/libtard state now. Georgia is moving in that direction too.

I like the heroes who reaffirmed this practice in the Carolina's temporarily, at least partially... then have it reversed and not only have the substit'or conscripted but the substi'ee got fucked too by having to remain pulp in the meat grinder if they had since a change of heart but were locked into a contractual obligation with the original person who paid or influenced them.

The only reason why I looked this topic up just now was me daydreaming before.....ok more light staring in the semi darkness, and this question pops into my head.... "you've got two kids, one is unable to serve a conscription, the other is too young....but wars take tens of months start and they drag much further. So would you volunteer to take the place of your youngest (only one capable of giving us grandchildren), for the promise that you'll fight to the death towards an enemy named, implied, or just something completely lied about to our faces?"

And I was fuck yeah I would. If I got a public guarantee that my family... or at least my last viable remaining offspring would be shielded, sign me the fuck up.

Then it dawned on me.... yeah, but they might suspect cold feet in the heat of battle. While that wouldn't be an issue with me, it could be with others entering such agreements...

...and I was like, fuck it.... if I could get a rock hard concrete honest deal with honourable gentlemen to shield my family, I could shake on it and offer up my family as collateral. I run.... I don't fight admirably, execute them.

But the moment I received 3 commendations or medals springing from those commendations, my family is free to live unscathed no matter what my actions are after that.

But this just saddens my heart to read about the South....

https://www.ncpedia.org/substitutes-civil-war">https://www.ncpedia.org/substitutes-civil-war

I'm sure it was happening everywhere.... but a contractual agreement wasn't adhered to....

So I wouldn't sign up for jack shit because then like now, we're ruled by cocksuckers....

And think of the old war movies that could have been made if WW2 offered publicly available replacement contracts, then a decorated battalion of such people with at least 3 if not 4+ citations/medals get sent to their near certain deaths (conflict resolution) but managed to orchestrate a mass exodus back to the states after soldiers in Europe forge papers, develop accents, stories, and reengineer civilian garb to trickle out back home.... then save their families from execution...

I'd call it the Great reEscape... ac_toofunny
Blahhhhhh...
