Erica Mena

The song by George Michael. I've read all different theories.

Anyone have an idea here?

Its child porn.

No but really it plays to an unhealthy and sexualized daddy/daughter thing that is really awkward to hear.

 It's always creeped me out.

 What do you think?
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

Erica Mena

Really? I thought it was about having daddy issues. Yikes

Read the lyrics....some of these are straight creepy. Like imagine being young and having an older man say things like this to you. I mean...."sometimes love can be mistaken for a crime" is pretty directly this is being said to a minor. The theme is disturbing.

That's all I wanted

Something special, something sacred

In your eyes

For just one moment

To be bold and naked

At your side

Sometimes I think that you'll never

Understand me

Maybe this time is forever

Say it can be, whoa

That's all you wanted

Something special, someone sacred

In your life

Just for one moment

To be warm and naked

At my side

Sometimes I think that you'll never

Understand me

But something tells me together

We'd be happy, oh oh

I will be your father figure

(Oh baby)

Put your tiny hand in mine

(I'd love to)

I will be your preacher teacher

(Be your daddy)

Anything you have in mind

(It would make me)

I will be your father figure

(Very happy)

I have had enough of crime

(Please let me)

I will be the one who loves you

'Til the end of time

That's all I wanted

But sometimes love can be mistaken

For a crime

That's all I wanted

Just to see my baby's

Blue eyes shine

This time I think that my lover

Understands me

If we have faith in each other

Then we can be

Strong, baby

I will be your father figure

Put your tiny hand in mine

I will be your preacher teacher

Anything you have in mind

I will be your father figure

I have had enough of crime

I will be the one who loves you

'Til the end of time

If you are the desert

I'll be the sea

If you ever hunger

Hunger for me

Whatever you ask for

That's what I'll be

So when you remember the ones who have lied

Who said that they cared

But then laughed as you cried

Beautiful darling

Don't think of me

Because all I ever wanted

It's in your eyes, baby

And love can't lie, no

(Greet me with the eyes of a child)

My love is always tellin' me so

(Heaven is a kiss and a smile)

Just hold on, hold on

I won't let you go, my baby
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

George Michael was terrific singer and I do like this song. But, I did not consider the lyrics deeply. I thought it might have been about someone with daddy issues.

Daddy/son actually. The guy's a homosexual, I'm surprised you missed it. That song is a paean of his desire for underaged twinks' chokkie starfishes.

My mom claims that George Micheal wasnt actually gay and it was all for marketing.

But yeah that would still make sense....especially since the whole man/boy "love" narrative have been such a theme and plague amongst homosexual males.

You know else is disturbing? When I was a little girl I thought this song was so romantic and it's probably because I grew up without a father. Or a mother even. My grandmother raised me.

So I've carried some pretty unhealthy and codependent views on men most of my life.

I can definately see this song making people think of daddy issues but when you read the lyrics ....oh boy. Lol.

I think there is something to be said for the fact that SO many gay males have had been sexually assaulted by a male while they were children or teens.

And I wish we could say it and have it taken seriously. I'd like a deeper understanding of why/how people end up with same sex attractions. It's a whole thing that we could seek to understand better if fucking politcs didnt pollute every damn thing.

The thinking is always so extreme. It's either people are born that way, it's dead set in them, that's just how it is......or it's just a choice and people can be therapied out of it. Its never something that can be openly and objectively explored as a way of understanding human behaviour and sexuality.  And this is the side of politics that always blathering about nuance when it suits them.

 It's pretty useful for marxists.
