Are these Chinese balloons really CCP assets?

I am absolutely luving this. The mighty United States of America is collectively shitting itself over a couple of fucking balloons. :laugh3:  ac_toofunny  ac_lmfao

The spy/troll balloon has to be shot down out of principle and I´m thinking a sidewinder missile is the most cost effective way of doing that.

The spy/troll balloon

That is definitely a possibility.  The US Department of Defense shot something down over Lake Huron.

Only if you point each missile at Beijing. Considering that each balloon is worth only a thousand or so, and missile substantially more, rasining down a firestorm on Chinee cities makes way more sense than blocking off air traffic to random sections of the US white the military plays whack-a-mole with every baslloon sent there

It's almost as if there have always been a bunch of weather/whatever balloons floating around up there but now that we're supposed to be afraid of them they have to shoot them down or lose control of the narrative... again.

I guess the stupid twats didn't think of that when they started scaremongering the floaty bois.

It's probably just a ruse to lock down the world for another fake threat.... but this time, at odds scientists won't be able to downplay it because "alienz" are scary, yo... we need teh governmints!
Blahhhhhh...

The White House is confirming that a spy balloon program linked to China's military targeted the United States and its allies for espionage.

Speaking at a Feb. 13 press conference, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby acknowledged the program, which the United States disclosed for the first time last week.

"China has a high-altitude balloon program for intelligence collection that's connected to the People's Liberation Army," Kirby said.

Kirby said that the Chinese spy balloon program targeted the United States' "closest allies and partners," but provided "limited additive" intelligence collection capabilities. Left unchecked, he said, such continued balloon incursions could present a severe national security threat to the United States.

Since shooting down the Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina on Feb. 4, the United States has shot down three more unidentified flying objects, two in U.S. airspace and one in Canadian airspace.

U.S. fighter jets intercepted four Russian military aircraft that entered Alaska's air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Feb. 13.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), which oversees North American airspace and its defense, responded to the incursion with two F-16 fighters and five other supporting aircraft including two F-35s, according to a press statement.

The NORAD forces successfully intercepted a group of Russian bombers and fighters that entered Alaska's ADIZ.

It appears that one of the objects Jim Crow Joe authorized fighter jets to shoot down last week may have been nothing more than a hobby club's balloon.

While the government has not confirmed what pilots downed over the Yukon in northern Canada, the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade said one of its balloons is "missing in action." That balloon was last seen off the coast of Alaska last Saturday morning.

The trajectory of the balloon's flight tracks with the object that a U.S. Air Force F-22 shot down on Saturday using a AIM-9X Sidewinder missile. Each missile costs more than $400,000.

The chinese could totally fuck up the yanks you know. Balloons are a lot cheaper to make than sidewinders, if they invested the cost of a half dozen sidewinders into a balloon flotilla, they could tank the US economy overnight.

The fact this hasn't already happened should tell you something.
