A Rare Alignment of Planets Is About to Take Place in The Sky



A very rare treat is about to grace Earth's night skies.

On 21 January 2025, six of the seven other planets will appear in the sky at once in a large alignment – Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, and Saturn, with the exception of Mercury.

Then on the evening of 28 February 2025, all seven of the other planets in the Solar System will appear in the night sky at the same time, with Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars all lining up in a neat row – a magnificent sky feast for the eyes known as a great planetary alignment.

It's not uncommon for a few planets to be on the same side of the Sun at the same time, but it's less common for most, or even all of the planets to align.

Any number of planets from three to eight constitutes an alignment. Five or six planets assembling is known as a large alignment, with five-planet alignments significantly more frequent than six.

Seven-planet great alignments are, of course, the rarest of all.

Whether you will be able to see the alignments, at what time the planets rise and set, and in which order, depends on where in the world you're viewing from.

The former president attended Carter's funeral by himself. Adding to the speculation, news emerged that Michelle would also be skipping Donald Trump's second inauguration, scheduled for next week. Social media concerns heightened, with users speculating about a potential divorce after 32 years of marriage.

"An Obama divorce wasn't on my 2025 predictions list, but it might just happen," one user wrote on X.

Another commented, "It seems like an Obama divorce is looming; we've all noticed they're not attending events together anymore."

A third user asserted, "Michelle and Obama are estranged. They're heading for a divorce. She doesn't want to be around him."

Barack Obama attempted to quash these rumors with a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating Michelle's 61st birthday on Friday -



Yet, some social media users remained skeptical, suggesting it was merely a political tactic to quell the rumors.

"I wish you all the best..but to post a photo where you two are so far apart and kind of fake smiling, might indicate that the divorce rumors are true...does anyone agree?" one person wrote.

Another claimed, "Are you two separated, her smile looks fake."

The couple was last seen together publicly in mid-December, over a month ago, when they dined out in Los Angeles.
