The ideological war on private enterprise always ends up punishing the very people it claims to help — exactly the pattern Marxism has repeated from Moscow to Havana.

Ireland, like Britain and much of the West, is being reshaped by two forces at once — an aggressively secular culture that mocks belief, and a rising influx of people whose values come from religious traditions deeply at odds with Christianity.

The U.S. Department of Transportation said it may withhold up to $30.4 million in federal highway funds from Minnesota for improperly issuing commercial driver licenses to non-U.S. residents.

The department gave Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz 30 days to revoke the licenses and come into compliance after a federal audit.

Walz will flip the bird at DOT.

Thailand has the highest rate of infidelity in the world. The next four countries with the highest rates of female infidelity are all in Western Europe.

The city of Seattle's progressive ideology is set to clash with Islam during the FIFA World Cup next June.

Lumen Field in Seattle is scheduled to host six World Cup games in 2026, and the city's organizing committee is planning a special gay-pride game for June 26.

Announced in October, the committee is dubbing the game the "Seattle Pride Match" and has even procured gay art from fans through a contest meant to be used in Seattle's "citywide celebration."

However, after the World Cup draw finally happened on Friday to determine the tournament groups, the gay game is likely to run into ethical problems after it was decided who the two combatants will be.

The June 26 game will showcase a Group G matchup between two Muslim nations where homosexuality is prosecuted: The Islamic Republic of Iran and Egypt.

Old Herman likes Bobby Kennedy Junior.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just took direct aim at the World Economic Forum, saying their so-called "Great Reset" would drain whatever's left in your bank account. He claims global elites are pushing an agenda that gives them more control while everyday people pay the price.

Kennedy says they have a plan, but his plan is to stop them. Whether you agree with him or not, one thing's clear: this battle over global power and economic freedom is only heating up.

Professor Ellen Langer from Harvard University conducted an intriguing study in 1979.

A group of men in their 70s and 80s were asked to spend a week in a facility entirely designed to resemble the 1950s.

The pictures on the walls, the books on the shelves, the magazines on the table, and even the radio and TV broadcasts were all tailored to events from 1959. Participants were asked to imagine themselves as being 20 years younger and to converse as if everything was true. They were also required to be unusually self-reliant.

The results were astonishing.

Langer revealed that without any medical intervention, in just one week, their hearing improved, their vision sharpened, and their memory and physical strength increased. They even visibly appeared younger.

The idea of the mind's influence on the body deeply intrigued Langer. She subsequently conducted a series of experiments in the next few decades to explore what the mind can possibly do on its own. Many outcomes from her work contradicted what was commonly thought. And her findings are something we can immediately put into practice for better health and a merrier life.

Two gunmen shot and killed 11 people and wounded many others at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday in a "terrorist" attack on a gathering for the Jewish festival of Hanukkah.

Emergency responders rushed at least 29 people to local hospitals from the beach, one of the biggest tourist draws in Australia's largest city, said New South Wales police.

One of the alleged shooters was killed, and the second was in a critical condition, they added.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese hailed ordinary citizens who tackled and disarmed one of the gunmen as "heroes".

Police declared the shooting a "terrorist incident" and said they had found suspected "improvised explosive devices" in a vehicle near the beach that was linked to the deceased suspect.

"This is a targeted attack on Jewish Australians on the first day of Hanukkah, which should be a day of joy, a celebration of faith -- an act of evil, antisemitism, terrorism that has struck the heart of our nation," Albanese said.

"An attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on every Australian," Albanese said.
