Announcement -New Feature (Push Notifications)

We now have push notifications fully operational.

If you recieve a message in your browser asking you if you would like to subscribe to the latest content, here, at the last bastion of free speech and open minded thought do not be alarmed. This is our push notification system which will alert you to new content being posted in real time further enhancing your forum experience and allow you to converse with friends and other members more easily.

The system will alert you when

someone quotes you
someone replies on a thread you are posting in
someone tags you using the @username feature
and coming soon - when someone rates one of your posts

the notification will appear in your browser like so

Oh yeah, if you're wondering, yeah that is a new theme. A very mobile friendly one that I am adding to the stack.

If you haven't subscribed there should be notification on the top (depending on your browser)

after you subscribe they should appear on the lower right corner

at least that's how they do in firefox

When you login you should get a message asking if you want to turn notifications on

Click yes to subscribe

I just tried it and it doesn't work for me...  No biggy, tho ...

I just logged out, logged back in and subscribed and it is working. You are not seeing Who Quoted Me at the top?
