The province of Ontario is going to have the biggest case of buyer's remorse.

Mark Carney was elected to negotiate a good deal with Trump to save automotive jobs in Ontario. Melanie Joly announced $2 billion in support crumbs for automotive workers who will be losing their jobs.

If the auto industry goes, there will be open revolt within the Liberal Party.

Carney had better get at least 1 pipeline built during his term that can export oil and/or gas to Europe.

If he doesn't I'll be majorly disappointed.

He said during the campaign that he wants a strong energy plan that includes traditional and new forms of energy.

Relying upon oil/gas for revenue isnt even a Conservative or Liberal issue. Its Canada's bread and butter, allows it to pay its Bills

The cancellation of the Keystone pipeline by Biden in the US may well have cost the Democrats the 2024 election. So hopefully the Liberals learn from their American counterparts mistake.

Sweetie, no he didn't. He made no commitment at all to get a pipeline to tidewater built. He has committed to keeping the no new pipelines C-69.

What he has said is that is "We have to choose a few projects, a few big projects, not necessarily pipelines, but maybe pipelines. We'll see."

He has also stated that there has to be a "consensus" to get a single pipeline built. That is a hole big enough to drive a semi through.

So, your radical climate nut pm will continue to sit on the fence sending mixed signals while maintaining Trudeau legislation that suffocated hundreds of billions of dollars in investment.

If you want new pipelines and LNG exports facilities, Pierre Pollivere was who you should have voted for.
gay, conservative and proud

Mark Carney

I had no intention of saving auto sector or energy sector jobs.

I have made it my mission to kill good jobs in Canada even after I became a candidate for prime minister when I moved jobs to New York.

My Culture Minister Steven Guilbeault gave a speech why another pipeline will not be built on my watch citing false stats from the IEA and the capacity of the TMX expansion. Canadians will buy it.

Think about it. Would I keep the emissions cap, the anti tanker and the no new pipelines bills if I was going to approve and speed up a new pipeline to international waters. Would I have appointed radical anti oil activist Jilie Dabrusin Minister of Environment and Climate Change if I was serious about building pipelines or LNG exports facilities.

You Canadians are naive, but did you really think new markets would open up for products I have been trying to keep in the ground for the last thirty years.  :s_laugh:

I have never said a new international pipeline will be built and I never will because it will not happen on my watch.

We'll see.

You should be given a chance to prove yourself avatar_Mark Carney Mark.

As a Liberal voter I support new pipelines like Energy East.

If the Liberals expanded pipelines like the Trans Mountain in my province of BC, people in Ontario and Quebec should accept pipeline expansion in their province too.

Looks good on those old Central Canadians who voted for Conman Carney. But, they aint the ones who will feel the squeeze of his radical agenda.

PP had the backs of working folks. Conman Carney has the backs of Davos billionaires.

The West matters hey avatar_Herman Herm?

So do those pipelines.

Is evident that a lack of them in the eastern provinces is putting a strain on National unity.

Therefore they should be built for the greater good
