I thought it was quite nice, so I bought it.
Mind you beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
Some people might not like it at all.

I don't plan to wear it at all, since it's a Ladies' ring.
Still, it's very interesting - like a modern piece of sculpture or work of art.

Mainly bought it for the gold content as it went for less than $200 in an auction. But the Gold alone must be worth $3-400. So I thought it was a good deal.

contains an opal and ruby too.

Solid 18k gold, the metal part anyways.

I was gonna get it checked out for its gold content by an assayer.

Dove

I don't really like yellow gold but I do like the opal and ruby.
My happiness is all of your misery. I put good dick all in my kidneys.

...the Gold in that piece is worth a lotta money, Lokmeer

At least 5 or 6 grams of pure gold?

Maybe upwards to 10? Not likely, but Could be 8 grams of pure gold in there..

5 or 6/30 = .15 to .2 oz gold , .15 to .2 x 2000 = $3-400 worth of gold.

So maybe get $300 for the gold?
Not including the gemstones.

18k is maybe 75% gold?

The 18 Karat gold comprises of 75% gold mixed with 25% of other metals such as copper, silver, and other alloys. This type of gold is used to make stone studded jewellery and other diamond jewellery.

...same time maybe it was a shitty buy.

I'll find out. I admit, I've made my share

Oh, I don't care if no one here likes it.

Actually I kinda do Prowler.

Looks like that old Art Nouveau style from the early 1900s.

But I was sufficiently impressed with the Gold content on that to take a chance on it. I'll find out if it was a good buy or not.

If it's what they say it is, that's a lotta gold, Prowler.

It is a lovely ring.

Opals are dnosaur fossils. You can look that up.

I love abalone shell of which I have many pieces.

I also have opals.

The opal in your ring is a triplex... it's only a slither of a slither... it's not a solid opal.
