Ukraine funding rises as major political lightning rod in government shutdown fight

Disagreement in Congress over Ukraine aid could be a major factor in a likely government shutdown.

It is known.
What do you mean by getting sent? Yeah or nay to more money to the corrupt regime in Kiev?

Whether or not the government shuts down the Biden regime and the democrats will send that money to Ukraine. They are nowhere near finished killing Ukrainians yet.

We shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place and by that I mean facilitating the 2014 coup and then pretending to negotiate the Minsk Accords in good faith while really just using them as a delaying tactic so we could shower Ukraine with weapons (some of which were used to shell the Donbass region for eight years) and training to prepare them for the war we knew was coming because we were going to start it one way or another.

The war's over even if the bloodthirsty capitalist pigs in D.C. refuse to admit it. The counteroffensive only succeeded in killing a lot of soldiers. That's it and that's all.

We shouldn't have ever sent anything but we absolutely shouldn't send another penny to be chewed up in that meat grinder of a jobs program for weapons manufacturers.

I agree.  It was never our war and we have no business spending a penny of taxpayer dollars or political capital over what is basically an internecine spat between third cousins.  The Russkis and the Ukies have been fighting each other for a thousand fucking years.  Just ask Herman.

This stinks of the corruption that Joe and Hunter's Ukranian hijicks are just the iceberg tip of.

Although, it is pretty cool in a Hitler Channel kind of way to see German-built Leopard II tanks fighting in Ukraine in 2023.  Our US military industrial complex isn't the only military industrial complex benefiting from all this.

he Biden administration has pressured Congress to dole out tens of billions of dollars in military aid and economic assistance to Ukraine, insisting that the Eastern European country's effort to fend off Russia will collapse without it.

The New York Post reported that Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young sent a letter to Senate and House leaders on Monday, saying that the U.S. will run out of money to support Ukraine by the end of the year. She went on to say that Ukraine's loss of U.S. support would hamstring the country's military effort.

Biden has reportedly asked for a $105 billion aid package to support Ukraine, Israel, and other needs, but Capitol Hill has refused to make a quick decision. The aid package has been a topic of discussion since mid-October , but it has yet to be approved.
