Good series based on a novel from 13ish years ago but they have put Africans in roles and I hate that about it.

There were virtually NO Africans in Russia in the early 1900's and certainly not many with Russian names to boot.

As a lover of historical fiction I can tolerate ethnic inclusions which don't pass the smell test if it's a ridiculous comedy such as The Completely Made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin...

...but not for a drama with Ewan McGregor in it.
