I see some polls showing Trump is leading and others that show Harris is.

At least in 2020 and 2016 all the polls showed Biden and Clinton leading. This year, the polls are over the map.

Aggregated results show Donald Trump to be 1.5 ~ 2 points ahead as opposed to the same time in his run against Hil-dawg. And I'm seeing a lot of online commentators saying to get your postal vote in early, in case of fire, flooding or shenanigans with ballots and polling booths on the day.

Makes a world of sense from where I'm sitting. Hand the damn things in ahead of the day, if you are in a state that allows you to do so. Take a friend or neighbour who's a reluctant voter with you, have a beer or three with them afterwards to celebrate. Do your bit. Yeah, so it's a bit of time out of your day, but you've got it out of the way and there's now no scope for the incumbents to pull a fast one on you on election day.

Now is not the time to be complacent. Get out there, encourage everyone you know to do the same. Make sure your county comes back with an answer that not alternate slates of electors, not even ballots going "BRRRR" can fuck with.
