I took a temperance pledge earlier this year:

"Canada's Temperance Foundation Pledge:

Today, for the benefit of myself, my family, my friends and for my community, I take the CTF Pledge:

I will practice moderation or abstinence in the use of alcohol and will not use illicit drugs.

I acknowledge that to become intoxicated on alcohol and or high on drugs can negatively impact my health and the well being of my family and my community.

I acknowledge that I do not need alcohol and or drugs to relax and to have fun.

By taking The Pledge, I am making the choice to lead a healthier life and to set the example for my family and my friends."

So far I've stuck to my word.

I have practiced moderation of alcohol for a total of 18 months now, and I've never done drugs.

My last drinking binge was June 6, 2013.

I've had just one drink on Jan 25, 26, 27, 28, Feb 1, 2, May 17, Aug 18, Sept 11, 23, 29, 30, and Nov 25, 2014.

I've had liqueur chocolates (containing a very small amount of alcohol) on Nov 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, 2014.

I've had "near beer" (containing 0.5% alcohol/volume) on Dec 4, 5, and 6, 2014.

I don't feel like an alcoholic anymore :)

Are you sure your name is spelled with an 'e' and not a 'u'?
