WOW! Them prices are crazy! I think a Quarter Pounder is over $6 now! Prices have gone up at least 10X!

I miss the styrofoam containers. They used to keep the sammies warm better for the trip home. I know people who used to use them to clean them and store stuff in em too.

We would get McDonald's maybe three times a year when I was a kid. When we did, there were styro containers in the fridge storing food not from McDonald's.

What gets me is there are a lot of fast food places still using styro containers, yet McDonald's gave up on that in the 90s.  Why aren't the tree huggers bitching about the mom and pop places that still use styro?

Its mainly in little mom and pop places and a few small chains.  I think styro ia allowed there only because of the small number of locations.

I get styro boxes from the diner down the hill, but not from any fast food places.

Well, I don't hit 'em all like I used to. I just thought of it because I got a box from my favorite diner the other day and it was styro.  For other places, big chains like Chilis and such, they give you a take out box made from molded paper like egg cartons.  At least around here.

They discourage styrofoam containers here, but it's still used in a few places. I haven't been to McDonald's here, but I have been to KFC several times. They don't use styro, but I don't think they ever did in Canada either.

It's amazing how little a dollar will buy nowadays.

I remember going into a Dollarama store back in Canada about 2 years ago to buy a turkey baster. Almost everything in the store was more than a buck.
