President Donald Trump on June 30 demanded that gasoline retailers immediately lower prices at the pump, warning of "big problems" if they fail to pass along the benefits of falling crude oil prices to consumers.

In an early-morning post on Truth Social, Trump said gasoline prices remain too high while U.S. crude oil is trading at about $68 per barrel and the price is continuing to decline.

"Gasoline Retailers must get their Prices down, IMMEDIATELY!" Trump wrote.

He urged retailers to "start targeting around the $2.50 a Gallon number," while accusing some stations of price gouging.

Trump said that if gas stations don't lower prices at the pump, "big problems lie ahead."

He also singled out California, saying the state should reduce gasoline taxes that he argued are inflating prices for drivers.

I just filled up at 4 bucks for preminum. Was $5.50 about a month ago. Later on I saw a Shell station at $3.39 for regular. It is getting better here.

I paid $150.9 at Canadian Tire on Sunday. That is down amost forty cents per litre from it's peak.

My old Kia Sportage had these fog lights that could only be changed by a mechanic because it needed a special tool to pop open the cover to access the bulb.  This decree by Trump is a long time coming.   

When you buy a new vehicle you cannot even change the oil at any place besides the dealership.

Oil is currently $67 a barrel which is almost $10 cheaper than when Trump took office. Gas prices are dropping.

Guy I know had to take his BMW to the dealer for a new battery because you have to go up from underneath the car and remove the starter to get to the battery compartment.

Similar thing with Ford.  Took my mom's 2016 Focus to a mechanic just to change the battery because the vent for the air filter goes right over the battery and getting it off looked too risky for me to do it.  Assholes.

President Trump rang the opening bells of both exchanges from the Oval Office on Monday, marking the official launch of Trump Accounts for children.

The accounts, created under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, became available for contributions starting July 4 and are open to children who won't turn 18 by year's end.

Every eligible child gets a one-time $1,000 seed contribution from the federal government, and family or employers can add more, up to annual limits. The money is invested — by default in an S&P 500 ETF, with more options coming — and grows, tax-advantaged, until the child turns 18. Parents can enroll for free at TrumpAccounts.gov.
