Apparently Eddie the Caucasian has decided to stop posting at van4um for good. It has been 4 days so far since he has posted anything there. He doesn't post on any other forums as well.

Unlike some of you, I do not have blind faith in what the US administration is doing.

Markets hate uncertainty. But, they always bounce back.

This is unprecedented since WW2. Both parties have pursued a policy of opening the domestic market to imports while allowing the same countries to protect their own industries from foreign competition.

I am telling my clients the same thing I did during the COVID martial law. Relax, it will pass.

Whatever one thinks of President Trump, he cares about the economy and the well being of Americans. More than most of his predecessors in fact. If he believes there is long term economic damage, he will change course. You can count on that.

Thing is, even with the best case scenarios, how long are his followers willing for Trump's Brave New World to wait avatar_DKG DKG?

It could take years or the next decade to restore and retool the US economy so that it becomes this manufacturing mecca again.

Lol.

I gotta lot more n that to invest avatar_Biggie Smiles Bigly!

Like Warren Buffet I was waiting for a Crash which appears to have arrived.

According to some experts the market is supposed to dive another 30% and possibly more in the coming months. Maybe it'll hit bottom late in 2025 or early 2026?

Perhaps it's time to start a new thread about how to invest during a recession/hard times eh?

Anyway Bigly you oughta look at Canadian mining oil/gas & banking stocks. Those usually do well after they've fallen a bit. Copper will be a good place to invest over the next decade.

Commodities will be the place ta be over remainder of Trump 2.0....Lokmar!

Same time I expect equities like the Magnificent 7 ta perform like duds...Bud!

I'm lookin ta invest in gold/copper mines, oil n gas Lokmar. Cuz no matter who wins the next Canadian election there's gonna be alotta investment in those sectors eh? Even yer Trump favors em.

They say Hard Times breed strong men.

But I think Hard times breeds a commodity boom...Lokmar!

Unlike you, I firmly believe tariffs should have always been on imports from countries that are putting tariffs on American exports.

I stand with American labour. Fuck corporations and their progressive shills.

And yet...Canada's economic policy may not end up aligning with the USA avatar_Brent Brent.

We may end up trading a lot more with Asia & Europe.

Which means...Canada could end up buying a lot less from the United States and more products from Europe and Asia.

I suspect Canada's trade is about to flow East and West, not North and South.

I wouldnt call it blind faith at all. I call it faith based upon previous performance AND Trump taking the necessary steps to bring mfg back to America like he's been saying he's wanted to do for decades. It also isnt blind faith because H. Ross Perot told us that job export policies would put us EXACTLY where we are today and he was right too! Trump has put the globalist plans in reverse.

Nothing blind about it whatsoever.

But even with a best case scenario its gonna take a while...Lokmar!

That's why Trump's followers are pleading that he be granted a 3rd term. So his ideas have a possibility of coming to fruition

Jo Jo Sweetie, I explained to you after we had sex this morning that Trump is irrelevant. If JD Vance is the Republican nominee in 2028 and he probably will be, Trump's reciprocal approach to trade will continue.

Understand now Sugar Buns or should we have sex first.

Ron Desantis might run.

It depends on the success of the Trump administration. If this gamble he's taking with tariffs pays off, Vance is the nominee. If it doesn't, it will be someone else outside the administration.
