In a New York Times magazine interview published on June 1, 2020, then-Attorney General Bill Barr acknowledged that the Department of Justice was concerned that "there are a number of foreign countries that could easily make counterfeit ballots, put names on them, send them in."

Weeks later, President Donald Trump tweeted: "RIGGED 2020 ELECTION: MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE PRINTED BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES, AND OTHERS. IT WILL BE THE SCANDAL OF OUR TIMES!"

Election officials, Democrats, and the liberal media were quick to suggest that such claims weren't just "unfounded" — they were "preposterous."

Like the American liberal establishment, these strategic dismissals have not aged well.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Monday that the bureau located intelligence reports from August 2020 that detail "alarming allegations" regarding an apparent Chinese communist plot to interfere in the presidential election for the benefit of then-candidate Joe Biden.

Nearly as damning as the allegations was their alleged cover-up by elements of the intelligence community ahead of the election.

Patel told Just the News that the newly declassified documents "include allegations of plans from the [Chinese Communist Party] to manufacture fake driver's licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots — allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public."

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced on July 27, 2020, that between Jan. 1 and June 30 of that election year, CBP officers at the International Mail Facility at Chicago O'Hare International Airport had seized 1,513 shipments containing fraudulent documents, including 19,888 counterfeit U.S. drivers' licenses.

"The majority of these shipments were arriving from China and Hong Kong, with other seized shipments arriving from Great Britain and South Korea," noted CBP.

The licenses were mostly intended for college-age students across various states. In many cases, the barcode attached to the licenses actually worked. It's unclear whether some of the hundreds of thousands of Chinese students at universities across the country or some of the nearly 400,000 Chinese illegal aliens were the intended recipients.

"These fraudulent identity documents can lead to identity theft, worksite enforcement, critical infrastructure protection, fraud linked to immigration-related crimes such as human smuggling and human trafficking, and these documents can be used by those individuals associated with terrorism to minimize scrutiny from travel screening measures," added CBP.

Officials who have seen the newly declassified documents told Just the News that a confidential source provided the FBI with information in summer 2020 indicating that the Chinese communist regime was mass-producing fake American drivers' licenses in order to create voter identities for Chinese nationals so that they could vote with fake mail-in ballots.

The goal was apparently to help Biden beat Trump.

Patel also said he has turned over documents to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, a Republican and chair of the Judiciary Committee, for further review.

What Happens Next
Grassley requests the FBI to send all unclassified material directly to him, including segregating all unclassified material within classified documents. He's asked for a response to his newest letter no later than July 1.

The FBI has stepped up scrutiny over how it handled previously undisclosed documents containing claims about alleged Chinese interference in the 2020 elections. The documents, which FBI Director Kash Patel declassified on June 16 and shared with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), were dated months before the 2020 presidential election. They show the FBI alerting federal agencies to fraudulent U.S. driver's licenses from China being shipped to the United States—then recalling the advisory and asking for the file's destruction, according to files The Epoch Times has obtained.

The advisory in question was dated Aug. 24, 2020, weeks after U.S. authorities announced the seizure of nearly 20,000 counterfeit driver's licenses that mostly came from China for college-age students. Customs and Border Protection said at the time that the fake identity documents could lead to identity theft and endanger critical U.S. infrastructure. Patel described the allegations outlined in the document as "alarming."

"Specifically, these include allegations of plans from the CCP to manufacture fake driver's licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail in ballots—allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public," Patel told The Epoch Times, using the acronym for the Chinese Communist Party.

Nothing ever happens at least in Canada. We know they tip the scales in Canadian elections in every election.

Here's the thing (and this is for you and DKG), election interference is widespread and endemic. We get to hear about it a lot less than it actually occurs, let's put it that way. It probably bears mentioning too that you get it from allies as well as adversaries. The US for one has been merrily meddling in the political affairs of its allies for ages, it's only seen as a problem when it is happening to them.

This is not a function of the so-called "elected officials" either, rather it is a practice waged by members of the civil service, particularly the intelligence community which (and I cannot stress this enough) owes its allegiance not to the countries that homes it, but rather to the associations they maintain across international borders and particularly to the "old boys networks" their members are inculcated to in their university years. Before you dismiss this claim, ask yourselves this; if your terms are not being limited by regular elections, exactly what incentive do you have to be patriotic to the will of the people?

A US president can reasonably serve two terms (two and a half if he succeeds an incumbent predecessor that is 25thed out of office or otherwise unable to complete his term). That's it, there is no more. Whereas if you are an appointed employee of the state, you can make a lifelong career of deception and subterfuge, provided you appeal to forces who can bring the hammer down on you (ie: assassination, public pillory et al) if you don't grease the right interests.

So with all that in mind, you can expect ranks to close tighter than a virgin sphincter. The only names you can hope to be offered up (if any are offered at all) will be those than ran foul of the deep state for some reason or other and you and I will be offered some shiny new talking point to distract us away for requesting them to go on digging.

Because what it really boils down to is this: the politics we are allowed to engage in is only there as a device to let us think we have some say in the matter, and the bogeyman of another nation monkeying with it is offered to us as a talking point judiciously and sparingly, to rile us up against whomsoever we are supposed to be getting upset about. And sure, the ones we are being told about probably have, just as our side has likely returned the favour.

It just happens a lot more than you know. In the interests of our nation, wot?
