I read an article about it. I can appreciate the government policy to stop the spread of virus'. It also seems the bird owners were offered a chance to relocate the birds to the US but they refused.

It was supposed to be to stop the spread of avian flu.....but the onwer of the herd had a veterinarian who said the herd was safe.....I don't know.
