Seems there is a business case for selling Canadian liquefied natural gas to Europe after all.

The Mark Carney government, unlike the Justin Trudeau government before it, said this week that it is willing to consider — possibly, maybe down the road, in the medium term — selling LNG to Europe.

Right now, a lot of Canadian natural gas is being exported to Europe, it's just being exported through the United States, which seized on this opportunity while we decided to be "green" and take a pass. And so Canadian natural gas is sold to the United States at a discount and then sold to the Europeans by the Americans at a premium.

The Carney Liberals are still saying many of the right things, as they have done for months, but they haven't delivered yet.

On that front, and whether they will deliver on all of this, we are still at the wait and see stage of this relationship.

There is virtually no chance of a new liquefied natural gas facility getting built and exporting energy to Europe in the next five years and Mr. Carney knows that.

When it comes down to it, Prime Minister Carney needs to do one thing: GET OUT OF THE WAY.

There is a growing recognition that fossil fuel demand will only grow into the future, and if Canada is serious about securing our prosperity and diversifying trade, we must plan ahead and act strategically.
Oil and natural gas is Canada's largest export and underpins our quality of life.
We need to support all forms of energy and resource production in Canada as well as all critical infrastructure projects.

The problem is Carney and his Liberal Party does not want you to have a good life.

It has been almost six months since Mark Carney was elected. And Canadians now know the truth: his promises were broken, and his record is a disaster.

He promised the fastest-growing economy in the G7. Instead, we have the fastest-shrinking economy, with skyrocketing unemployment, the most expensive housing, and record household debt.

He promised a trade win with Donald Trump by July. Instead, tariffs on Canadian goods have doubled.

He promised to double homebuilding. Instead, his own housing agency admits it will drop 13 percent.

He promised to spend less and invest more. Instead, spending is up 8 percent and $63 billion has fled the country.

He promised to build. Instead, he has delivered nothing but more red tape and bureaucracy.
