JOE

Quote from: Brent on August 26, 2025, 12:29:26 PMEven with high unemployment, half the population $200 away from not paying their bills and housing and health care crises, a significant percentage of people coming into Canada are temporary residents on a work permit. And the Liberals are on pace to bring in even more after promising to reduce the number during the election.

Even so, Canada is still the best country in the world avatar_Brent Brent.

Oh Jo Jo your blind patriotism is precious.

But, everybody that has seen Canada over the last eleven years knows that every quality of life metric in Canada has dropped significantly since early 2015. And in many cases it is well below that of other developed countries.

If Joe thinks Canada is as good as it gets it's obvious he's never been abroad.

Canada Is in Crisis—and It's Getting Worse - by James Bauder
What the Liberals & NDP Are Doing Right Now:

Bringing in over 1 million newcomers every single year, while Canada only builds ~260,000 homes annually. CMHC projects a 3.5 million home shortage by 2030.

Over 100,000 Canadians are homeless on any given night, and as many as 235,000–300,000 experience homelessness during the year.

Each unhoused Canadian costs the healthcare system $12,200/year—almost 6× more than someone with stable housing. Preventable readmissions and chronic care are draining billions.

Hospitals, schools, and infrastructure are overwhelmed—while job growth isn't keeping up. Millions of newcomers need work, but our economy is not creating enough sustainable jobs to absorb them.

You should treat your boyfriend Joe to a trip to some developed countries that don't use their buses and subways as toilets.

Jo Jo won't go on long flights. If he cannot login to forums for more than an hour he gets bitchy.

This the party that propped up Justine's minority government for two terms.

The first number was when Harper was prime minister. The second number Canman Carney and Justine are responsible for.

The Liberals broke Canada's immigration system. It was once the envy of the world.

They brought in more people than our public services and economic infrastructure could handle. Our schools, hospitals, housing, and so much more. Now at risk of collapse.

I used to be an NDP voter.

In 2010, Immigration and Citizenship Minister Jason Kenney won all-party support and accolades from erstwhile critics when he introduced sweeping changes to the federal asylum system.

Statutory reforms made in the Balanced Refugee Reform Act brought in legal, policy and operational changes, including visa impositions on counties that were large sources of false claims. They got the total new claims down to a record low of 10,000 by 2013.

This speeded up the processing of claims. Legitimate refugees had their claims processed within months, rather than years. Bogus claimants were tossed out before they became a burden on Canadian taxpayers.

Word went out to international migration networks, including the huge industry of human smugglers and agents who facilitate fake refugee claims, that Canada was no longer a soft target.

The Liberals made the incredibly stupid decision to issue millions of Temporary Resident Visas to low skilled foreign students and workers.

Many of those people paid large fees to sleazy immigration promoters who promised the work or study permits would lead to permanent residency status and the ability to sponsor their families to come to Canada.

Those who were ineligible under the previous system overstayed" their visas, costing the country millions in health and social benefits and backlogging the system.

Jo Jo and I were discussing it this morning after he performed oral sex on me, and we believe it's time our gay community ended our alliance with the trans community.
