Turning Point USA sees surge in chapter applications following founder's assassination



Charlie Kirk's assassination has put a spotlight on Turning Point USA, the organization he co-founded that advocates for conservative politics at high schools and colleges across the country.

The organization says it has received more than 50,000 applications from colleges and high schools wanting to start chapters since Kirk's death one week ago. Currently there are approximately 2,000-plus Turning Point USA chapters nationwide.

"I think that's an amazing thing," said Christopher Fritz of Fort Lauderdale.

"There are a lot of people who want their opinions to be heard," said Melanie Dearmas of West Palm Beach.

When reflecting on the past seven days following the assassination, student Caylynn Perkins, a junior at Palm Beach Atlantic University says, "It does show the evil that takes place in this world."

No matter how much good comes from this terrible tragedy, no matter how many sleepers finally wake up and how bright our future becomes, nothing will ever compensate a little girl losing her daddy, a wife losing her husband and our movement losing such a giant of a man.

R.I.P brother.

And know that know that no matter how much good comes from your sacrifice your sacrifice was far too large a price to pay and I would happily prefer to fight shoulder to shoulder with you down to the end no matter the outcome than lose you so soon in the struggle and reap the rewards without you.

And that's really the loss right there... and all the reason to honour his sacrifice and the loss his family bears by attempting to emulate Charlie's example. And we can all do it. The movement may have lost a giant of a man, WE can replace that Giant with a thousand more who followed his best example. Namely, his example of fearless open dialogue in place of violent kneejerk reaction.

And may the justice be swift and merciless for those who cannot hang with that.

I'm an atheist. However, I've never met a racist evangelical Xtian. Not even one. This is why without seeing a lot of Charlie Kirk's videos I didn't believe that he was a racist. That and it's white libtards who called him a racist.
