I dont think so at all. It's cheap for what COULD be a great time if you werent paying that money to wait in a line for eternity. You have access to a shit ton of rides for that money. The devaluing is cause by all the hassle from purposely overcrowding and stress from watching faggits crawl all over each other. Personally, I think $200 is worth it if you can walk on any ride within 15 minutes.

I didn't read the entire thread and I don't feel like going back through it but the main reason for the drop in volume is that Disney has priced many potential park-goers right out of the system.

For a family of 4 to spend a few days in the parks, stay in a hotel that isn't a dump and eat bad food is thousands of dollars. All that money spent to bake in the sun while standing on long lines for an hour or more.

I live in Canada so I'm not affected by the price hikes in Disneyland. But now that you mention it, I actually regret not visiting Disneyland when I had the chance back in the 1990s. Fullerton? Or is it Anaheim? I used to drive by it by I never bothered to go in.

parking alone is running at 30.00 for the day to park so far away you need two trams and a ferry just to reach the entrance.

Factor in food, drinks, the lightning pass and the admission and you're easily over 1000.00 for four people for a one day visit

and the rides ain't even all that.

Actually what seems ta be a bargain these days is actual vintage Disney memorabilia from its glory days, eh Biggie Smiles Bigly. In fact it's suprisingit is so inexpensive as they are authentic Americana antiques. Way better than all that synthetic shit they pump out in the millions these days and costs more. It was all handmade, made in the USA & high quality.

I bought some one of a kind vintage Disneyana online. I'll post some pics if ya'll like. I know that stuff would interest Dove Dove since she seems like the sentimental type.

In over 2 decades of posting on forums and social media I have never blocked anyone (other than spammers) except for one, and that was Dilfo over at BF because unlike several of the regulars including BF himself I didn't want to be scrolling past pictures of people defecating on one another and eating it.

Y'know wizer wizer I collect Old Disney antiques from itsGolden era. So old & rare that some are literally handcrafted one of a kind items created by the original & often renowned artists.

You know what? That stuff is goin for cheap these days. Maybe the people who held onto it all these years are gradually dying off. So it getting released onto the market.

Anyway some of it is priceless but ironically it seems to be much more affordable than a day trip to a Disney Park.

With the advent of AI, I think this antique stuff will become valuable one day. People will eventually get sick of AI & the novelty will wear off. Then they'll yearn for the Good old days when things were more stable & they had a sense of permanence.

When people don't have anything that is stable, they cling to that which did and reminds them of better times.

I don't know JOEJ. Holding onto something that doesn't have much value, hoping it will be worth a lot more to someone some day makes less and less sense with each passing year as we don't have as many years left to wait for that to happen.

I've got boxes full of holiday village houses from the Dickens Village Collection. They're produced in limited quantity so as to increase their value to those lucky enough to obtain one before the item is "retired".

Most of them are worth far less than what I paid for them, none are worth significantly more. Especially since once something is out of the box, it typically loses most of its potential value to a collector.

Also I don't have a clue what AI has to do with the value of antiques.

I have a Star Trek 20th Anniversary poster I bought in 1986 and had it autographed by all seven members of the original crew. Shatner, Nimoy, Kelley, Nichols, Takei, Koenig, Doohan, they're all there. It's probably worth a couple grand by now but I would never consider selling it because it reminds me of all the good times I had going to the conventions with my friends, some of whom are no longer with us. Some things in life are far more important than money.
