We are taxed a shitload every year because my wife has a "Cadillac" health care plan. I pay $40 every time I visit the doctor. Not exactly "Cadillac" to me plus we have to reach a spend down for prescriptions every fukin year. Surgery has a big co-pay too.

With such an action we could see immediate progress with very little effort. Simply strip anyone who has voted democrat within the last 25 years of their ability to vote from this point forward and we should begin to see progress among our leadership

the problem, as the attorney so eloquently points out is two fold and is caused entirely by the scum on the left.

One -  Subsidies. As pointed out, government subsidies RAISE the cost of medical care as the government is seen as this infinite supply of financial resource. So if you are a provider and you learn that the government is subsiding a procedure by 20% why not raise the cost to the consumer by 19.9%? there's no regulation prohibiting you to do so.

Would anyone like to theorize as to why laser eye surgery now costs less than having your blood pressure taken by a primary health care provider?

Just one more example of libtards turning everything they touch into complete dogshit. Kinda like that communist prick Mandummy in NY. Free buses sound great don't they? That is until the hordes of homeless degenerates learn they can be chauffeured around in daylight to their heart's content make it impossible to ride one. Then what? The private sector will see an opportunity to provide a desperately needed service to the thousands of NYers that rely on buses for whatever reason and raise the cost of the fare from where it is today to one that is maybe two to three times more.

Two - illegals for all of the libtard pontificating to the contrary illegals ARE consuming healthcare and adding to the cost of the same substantially EVEN IF medicare is not writing a check to the provider. How? well, have you ever visited a big blue city Emergency room? The visit is an entire day event if you happen to be lucky and maybe 4 to 5 hours if you happen to be on fire burning to death right there in the lobby.

and why?

well, there are about 7 to 8 hundred people there who don't speak a lick of English, filling out forms they don't understand which will ultimately prove pointless as none of them will EVER pay for the services rendered  - all of which eager to get care they feel they are entitled to.

there they are, in all their glory competing for the same limited resource pool and there YOU are, wadding water in that same murky cesspool right along with them. Them, their sixteen to twenty wide faced crotch rockets, the chickens and other animals clucking around which they brought in with them and any pestilences which you'd certainly rather avoid which happened to hop on for the ride as they exited their toilet of origin.

Surely you realize that the bill for whatever services are rendered will go unpaid dont you? I mean, that's pretty much a guarantee.  And a hospital, like any other private institution, requires a significantly higher accounts receivable to sustain a rather substantial accounts payable. So what do they do?

Factor in the cost of services rendered to those that don't pay into the billing of those that do. that's what.

This is why if you are a hardworking American with health insurance or a legitimate recipient of medicaid  a basic trip to the E.R to have a doctor say hello to you, take your blood pressure and hand you a tablet of Tylenol costs 20,000.00. That 20,000.00 is going to pay for your service and the service of the 21 people who skirted their financial obligation. IE: those seven hundred illegals who made your visit to the ER one of unforgettable misery that are NOT impacting our healthcare system in any way.

But again, your average democrat voter is far too stupid to understand those complex dynamics when they cast their vote. They just see "free stuff" and vote "gimme dat"
