My parents owned rental properties when they were still together. That mayor of NYC is nuts and so are his appointees.

 I've seen a farmer get his land confiscated or the government attempted to at least....I never followed up on it so I dont know what came of it. But the government (I'm NOT sure if it was state or federal) abused some old law to get this mans property.

 It was his families farm. So he was defending that farm that belonged to his dad, his dad dad, his dad's dad's dad sort of thing.

 I dont know how it played out. I'll have to look.
