With soaring grocery prices pushing more Canadians into food insecurity, the state broadcaster, CBC News, is now actively promoting grocery stores that offer "big savings" by selling expired or near-expired food.

The segment was met with considerable backlash for "normalizing" the problem.

Canada's descent into mediocrity has been so calculated and swift that selling spoilage as safe food surprises me not. Things like this that would have left Canadians aghast 2 decades ago are the new norm that Canada's federal government is preparing people for.

The Liberals have been consistent since they came to power ten years in managing the decline that they have purposely caused. They have intentionally lowered living standards through their reckless policies on energy, resource development, taxation, deficit spending, immigration, bureaucracy/red tape that have disincentivized investment and lowered productivity.

And if Canadians don't like what they see from the government, they have anti freedom bills like C-2, C-8 and C-9.

The RCMP's doomsday scenario of Canada as a failed dystopian state is not that far off unless we get these new progressive Liberals out of power and get Javier Millei type reforms soon.

But Carney still wants to create a new housing bureaucracy to house every young person in a shipping container with ten other people.

About one in five employees in Canada are now government employees — and government productivity is slipping, a new report says.

The report, released Oct. 30 by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute think tank, says the number of federal and provincial government employees has grown by 30 per cent since 2015. During the same period, private sector employment grew by just 18 per cent.

But the private sector is more productive, the report says. In the private sector, productivity rose by 0.5 per cent annually since 2015, while it fell by 0.3 per cent a year in the public sector.

Notice how Carney wants to restructure the Canadian economy to make it more competitive and already many are complaining and wish they could go back to the free n easy ways under Trudeau.

But of course it isn't gonna happen whether it's a Liberal or a Conservative government.

Its abundantly clear that US is no longer Canada's Best Buddy cuz they're worried about their own economic survival. So Canada has to become more competitive but that will also make it a meaner leaner place moving forward.

You are indeed correct that the massive regulations, bloated bureaucracy, unsustainable spending and regulations have scared off investors and left Canada more dependent than ever on America.

Nobody wants to trade with Canada as long as they keep electing climate zealots that put their alarmism ahead of mutually beneficial trade.

While Mr. Pollivere is far from perfect, he would have repealed all of bills that Mr. Carney refuses to which prevent opening upn new markets. And he would have cut taxes after slashing spending. Finally he would have taken the strain off of high youth unemployment, health care and education by eliminating the TFW program and reducing immigration to an effective zero for two years.

Alas, none of that will happen. And you are too old to see the fallout from the dangerous road to ruin Mr. Carney has placed Canada on.

A K-shaped economy, happens when the rich get richer, while the middle and lower classes suffer. They lose jobs; they're priced out of basic goods and services; and in the case of young people now just hitting the workforce, they fail to achieve the Canadian dream and own any kind of property.

What happens next is people, especially youth, begin to see things like socialism and even communism as salvation. This is playing out across Canada with most large city councils in the hands of radical leftists expanding their roles well beyond fixing potholes and collecting trash.

Once the Canada people at large start seeing centralized power as the answer to all our problems, the Canadian dream ends. That is what the Liberal Party under Trudeau and now Carney are doing. They are taking away the Canadian dream and replacing it with centralized power and control.
