Donald Trump reiterated on Tuesday during a Cabinet meeting that he is planning on sending out tariff-derived payments to Americans and stressed that income tax refunds will likely increase next year as White House officials pivoted to an affordability message.

"Next year is projected to be the largest tax refund season ever, and we're going to give out refunds out of the tariffs," he said at the White House. He said that along with "giving a nice dividend to the people," there will be efforts to reduce the national debt with the revenues generated by the tariffs.

"We are going to be making a dividend to the people," the president said, projecting higher revenues from the tariffs. "As time goes by ... those numbers are going to go up."

Remember progs said tariffs would create more inflation? No!

Trump is making energy cheaper, lowering taxes for the working class and maybe even tariff dividends. Progs are subsidizing wind and solar.

On Thursday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced a major slash in the duration of work permit validity, according to the Washington Post.

Specifically the new policy affects asylum seekers by changing the work permit authorization period from five years to a mere 18 months.

Back in July, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act into law, establishing Trump Accounts — a tax-free savings program that provides a $1,000 government deposit for every U.S. newborn from 2025 to 2028. Families are permitted to contribute up to $5,000 annually starting July 4, 2026. Funds are locked until age 18, when they become available for uses like education, a first home, or business startup.

The core idea behind the initiative is to revive the American dream for today's young Americans, who have lower home ownership rates, more student debt, and less wealth at age 30 than their parents or grandparents did.

This is similar to Stephen Harper's Tax Free Savings Accounts(TFSA) and the Resgistered Education Savings Plan(RESP). They are both good savings plans for families and individuals.

Trump said on Dec. 8 that he will sign an executive order this week to establish a single federal rulebook for artificial intelligence (AI) and limit the authority of individual states to regulate the fast-advancing technology, saying the move is necessary to ensure the United States continues to lead the global AI race.

"There must be only One Rulebook if we are going to continue to lead in AI," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. "We are beating all countries at this point in the race, but that won't last long if we are going to have 50 States, many of them bad actors, involved in rules and the approval process."
Trump said that AI will be "destroyed in its infancy" if states wield the regulatory power to require AI companies to get separate approvals in each jurisdiction.

The upcoming order is the administration's strongest step so far to consolidate federal power over AI governance and comes after months of pressure from leading developers and investors, including OpenAI, Google, Meta, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, to replace what they describe as a patchwork of state laws with uniform national standards.
