socialism is always a sexy idea until it is put into practice. Human greed is far too a formidable force to allow for such benevolence.

I know you are not a believer in God but as a believer I am convinced this yearning for socialist ideology appeals to so many because it stems from our natural preprogramming as a species to want to be cared for by a higher power. In essence, the garden of eden was socialism in it's purest form.

the problem we cannot seem to accept or sort out properly is that socialism was never meant to be placed in the hands of man and when attempted, at it's very core, runs contrary to the will of God as it is a human constructed rival to the Kingdom of God.

I believe there's something.... the great mystery.....or afterlife.... probably a cycle of reincarnation too. Guess I'm just agnostic...dunno.

That is to be expected as an outcome when designed by a very skilled and determined deceiver with great power, intelligence and influence.

there is only so much of a cross section of the human population which you can turn away with the normal vices -- ie greed, lust, envy etc etc

there will always be a contingent of the populous who's natural moral compass will not allow for such.

But if you can deceive such a group under a false pretense that they are worshiping the true God when in fact they are not ... now you have extended your campaign to a far bigger playing field.

There can be only one path to truth. I have read many spiritual texts - the bible, the koran, the apocrypha some judaic writings not included in the old testament I am convinced the bible is the only text which demonstrates inspiration from something other than man and certainly contains overwhelming evidence that 99% of religions which claim to subscribe to it are false.

I tend to think that we've been seeded on earth over hundreds of thousands of years and our makers pop in via a cosmic and/or other dimensional cyclic milk run... but that also aligns with the Book of Enoch, and creation stories of numerous cultures... so I'm happy to admit I'm ignorant. I know that I simply do not know.... and it's oddly comforting to admit that... though in my heart and soul, I feel the positivity and possibilities of what we call death,, whatever it is... like birth, which is much of the same.

All will be revealed... but can we retain any of the revelations if we are reborn?

Young children and their weird memories give us a glimpse of the afterlife and then they wall it all off and forget....almost by design.
