Well okay, but don't be surprised if you steadily lose the support of people on the fence. Those that are knowledgeable enough to understand how good our president is doing for our economy and standing worldwide, but NOT callous enough to view a human being who has proven decency be thrown to the landfill like trash.

Some people who would otherwise support our side simply cannot reconcile that and many more are not like me, someone who can compartmentalize this tragedy within my own party and still come out in support of the greater good the leadership has to offer. That's a significant contingent of the voter base that I would rather not lose simply because words on paper say one thing and the relatively harmless activities of a migrant stand in contradiction to that.

that I can support as 72 hours is a whole lot different a dynamic that 7 or 15 years. 72 hours affords the opportunity for re-assimilation into the country of origin. A 15 year hiatus from the country of origin is tantamount to a death sentence -- or at a minimum, the HOV lane to a life of poverty and despair. We all know that, so let's at least be honest about what it is.

it's essentially our gov fault this migrant was allowed in. our gov fault he stayed so long and our gov fault the court system and parasitical leeches that orbit it a.k.a attorneys are so utterly broken and corrupt. So when we see a guy here for 15 years who has NEVER broken a law. NEVER availed himself of public assistance. Contributed positively to our economy in the form of hard labor, and in some instances even contributed to a social safety net he can never benefit from we cannot provision for him an expedited path to legal citizenship while holding him accountable for his past infraction in the form of a fine?  that's not possible for a few thousand people at most?
