Couple that with the sleep deprivation they are subjecting these guys to night after night and the general emotional drainage and you have to ask yourself  -- even if this guy made a poor decision in retrospect can we hold him to it given the totality of the situation?

I for one would acquit the ICE officer NO MATTER what video you showed me -- wouldn't matter at all. Guy is well within the guardrails of self defense and the mob's daily activities alone are a testament to that.

 I dont know MN gun laws but its pretty consistent state to state that if you have a firearm and you are approaching law enforcement, you keep your hands raised and tell them immediately that you are in possession of a firearm and follow that up with "my liscence to carry is in my wallet". And keep those hands up and visable. These officers dont know you, they deal with unhinged people all day, and its incredible how fast someone can go from non-threatening to unloading rounds into another human. So they have to assume you are dangerous.....so hands have to be SEEN. Not down by your waist or behind you.

 You do NOT go running up to law enforcement with a firearm. Ever.

 You might not get shot. But if you do get shot...it will be justified.

 You cant just go "help" someone that law enforcement just put on the ground either. Thats dumb and possibly a felony.

 If you think law enforcement may be brutalizing someone, you film it from a safe distance and get that footage into the hands of whoever needs it for that person's court case....you NEVER interfer. You dont know why they even have that person.  Law enforcement typically doesn't just walk around beating people or throwing them around. Im sure it happens here or there....but its NOT some norm and if they are busy whooping someone's ass, odds are good that person has done something to bring this on themselves.  Getting involved is STUPID. And a felony. And even if that person is innocent and being abused by police.....you are definately not helping shit by jumping in to get your ass whooped too.  Staying away and filming it is vastly more helpful.

 The minute someone decides to play hero against law enforcement is the minute they get thrown to the ground, pepper sprayed in the eyes, possibly tased or shot.

 I really dont know why anyone would be stupid enough to try to fight officers of the law in the streets. Absolutely NO ONE has done that and won lol. NO police anywhere have ever said "well we were gonna bring you in, but you resisted so hard we are letting you go! Congratz!! Guess we wont arrest you after all!"  No. They will beat your ass until you are compliant and if you have a weapon or grab for theirs? Youre dead. Thats it for you.
