I hear that being a grandparent can be very rewarding.

Even though I have two grandkids I really don't have a clue other than one is questioning her (or his) sexuality and the other is developmentally delayed, suffers from major anxiety and pulls out clumps of his hair. Their mom isn't much of a parent as I understand it and she isn't much of a daughter either.

My daughter and her progeny's mental problems are not the result of politics. It could be due to genetics and/or my ex wife's negative influence during their formative years when I was pushed out of their lives during the divorce.

I don't know what it's from and I don't care. I won't be the least bit surprised if my eldest ends up homeless and is ultimately found dead behind a dumpster. I'd be sad but I'd also think there were any better alternatives given the situation.

And stay with them long enough to work, which can take months. My exwife was on and off several over the years, it seemed that just as they started to work and she became calm and more reasonable she'd decide she didn't need them anymore and the rebound effect made her worse than she was before.

I had a friend with a chemical imbalance cause by drugs. He'd get better on psych drugs, decide he was "fixed", go off them, spiral downward even worse. He's a homeless crazy bum now for the last 30 years.
