Again, ALL asbestos products are dangerous.  ALL of them.  There aren't multiple kinds Romero.

No Romero is correct in the respect that if the asbestos is encapsulated it is legally safe. In lots of instances cutting and wrapping is a legal and viable fix.

No, he's not Renee.  I agree that you can legally have asbestos in a building, but there are not different types of fibers.

It can occur in different forms though and not all of them have the same level of danger.

Right there is not different types, asbestos is asbestos but how it it treated makes the difference between dangerous and not dangerous. Sometimes piping with asbestos on it leads to an inaccessible place like a shaft and what they do is the stop the removal at the shaft wall and then encapsulate the exposed termination.

Yeah see, I knew you were going to chuck that in there.  In terms of physical structure as it pertains to human health, there isn't variation.

As per your link:

All of the identified forms of asbestos are recognized as human carcinogens that can cause asbestosis, malignant mesothelioma, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, laryngeal cancer and other serious diseases.

Thank you Romero. you learn something new every day.

But I think we can all agree that it is only compromised and damaged asbestos, regardless of type, that's considered hazardous.

"Chrysotile asbestos, a less toxic form, comprises over 90% of all the asbestos used in the US.   This form of asbestos is not nearly as persistent in lung tissue and low level intermittent exposure is not considered to be a health risk to a healthy person".

Who has never been exposed to asbestos in their lives?

And since it's known to be hazardous, it's regulated and needed to be removed by asbestos removal companies whenever found.

There is no telling who has or hasn't been exposed because it's in a whole shitload of stuff.

That was never in question.

Why do you always have to lose sight of the debate with your uber socially conscience hysterics?

You might have come out of this looking like you had half a brain if you would only just shut up.

You're the one who claimed asbestos removal companies are "shady" and the government regulations are "enviro Nazi mandates".

Are the asbestos removal industry a make work program to employ unskilled workers ?

A lot of the removal companies are shady and I already explained why and how. AND correction; I said removal companies exist BECAUSE of government regulations which is the undeniable truth. If removal wasn't mandated by law there would be no need for the existence of said removal companies.

Get it right, pinhead.
