I Broke My Vow And Took A Peek At The Other Forum

I know this goof and his fellow travellers. Their den of iniquity has disappeared. Why? Because posters like me simply couldn't cope with the inane, infantile and utterly moronic antics of this buffoon and his colleagues, and left them to it. I have emails from the proprietor, asking me to return and help restore some sense into his crumbling clubhouse. I declined.



They quite simply degraded the place in EXACTLY the same manner as SMP, RDL and the other rock apes have done to Van.



Do you not recall why I started my confrontation with evs? It was over her refusal to clean house by dumping SMP, and not backing her mods. SMP et al were simply destroying the place, and take a look at it now. Not an adult discussion in the whole place.



I'm as keen as anyone to see this place grow, at a time when forums are on the nose. But growth at any cost, including taking knuckle draggers like Deadskinmask into the fold, will see us disappear just as quick as his last haunt. Its gone. It used to have a large following. Deadskin and Co soon put paid to that. He may put on a pretty face for you now, but I've seen the other side first hand, and trust me, you want none of it here. They will fir into Van quite nicely, with the rest of the rabid mongols.



I'm fully aware that I'm being something of a guard dog, but if we want real progress, alters like Opie Kindred, here only to create mischief, and miscreants like Deadskin and his posse, likewise, are not going to help. I know its not my forum, and I know I have a history of being vocal about forum misdirection...but I know, with no due humility, that I form part of the core culture that grows daily, along with the some of the other solid posters like Renee, RW, Shen, Annie and even GBB (an underrated member by far).



I am not going to discourage new and genuine members. Far from it. I put in some effort in making TBC work, including enduring Renee's vituperations and "self-depreciations". But when I smell a rat (and I'm very good at smelling rats...I used to be one, remember), I'll ring the bell. I hold no admin position, so people, as always can take or leave my comments.



Oh...and the fact that Deadskin has decided "we're not for him" simply confirms my suspicions. He's been outed, and there's no point in trying to continue salting himself and his cronies here.

But, I do not like to convict anyone without a crime..

I read him at BF and I have read 1400 or so posts here. A lot of them going back and forth with me. No issues yet. Until there are some I will not worry about it. Same with the others. Right now entertainment value is high and I am enjoying them. The others are learning the ropes and if they don't like it I am sure they will leave. I am not going to rush to judgement. Not my style. I'm thinking everything will be fine either way.
