He reportedly was killed in a remote area of Franklin County, N.Y. not far from two hunting cabins where he and fellow escapee David Sweat reportedly had taken refuge.



There was no immediate word on the whereabouts of Sweat. However, the Albany Times-Union reported he was being pursued on foot.
