How far is that from you and what's the elevation difference?  Their temp was 0.3C which you can get snow.  Not at 11C.

11℃ equates to about 51.8 ℉. No where in the world do you get snow at that temperature. Even .3 ℃ is still slightly above freezing so the only thing I can chalk up your sensitivity to cold is.....old age.
