I think she is guilty. There is no smoke if there is no fire. I'm told that maybe her staff are lazy but I doubt that's the reason.

Fewer Canucks die because of heat, StatsCan data finds



Cold, rather than extreme heat, seems to kill more Canadians, said new data out of Ottawa.



This data, according to Blacklock's Reporter, seemingly contradicted claims made by both Health Canada and Environment Canada, which had long preached the dangers of extreme heat.



Maintained by Statistics Canada, the Canadian Coroner And Medical Examiner Database between 2016 and 2019 stated that about 110 people die from extreme cold annually, while only 31 die from heat stroke.



The data also revealed that 158 Canadians die from choking, 48 drown while bathing and 34 meet a similar fate in swimming pools.



In 2018, former environment minister Catherine



McKenna told the House of Commons that extreme heat related to climate change was a "major public health crisis afflicting the country."



She told reporters in October that Canada was seeing the effects of climate change.



"Whether you live in the West, where you see these extreme forest fires, you live in the Prairies, where you see droughts and flooding, or you live in the East, where you see extreme heat that's literally killing people," she said.



According to Blacklock's, researchers with the Department of Health don't agree with the conclusion of classifying extreme heat as a "major public health crisis" with a 2018 survey of physicians and nurses identifying few health professionals who concur.
