Canada has higher consumer debt than America or most G20 nations. It is very hard to save money in Canada. Most Canadians are stuck in a debt spiral.

I honestly never knew that. When I think of Canada... I think of snow , log cabins and moose. I just assumed that they were self sufficient in the way of life. I realise the city life is different, but I just had that good country vibe about the place. Did the French have a negative impact on the country? Those people aren't the sharpest...

The Liberal Party of Canada has had a negative impact on Canada.

The reality of Canada today is an army of homeless people, one quarter of families rely on food banks for their daily nutrition, very high crime rates, large scale drug addiction, the highest food inflation in the G7, few opportunities to get ahead, collapsing health care, school classrooms bursting at the seams with the kids of recent immigrants, censorship, and a heavy tax burden.

This is mostly confined to the urban districts I take it? Not much different from the rest of the world at the moment, bar Japan and a few other countries at were racist enough to see the writing on the wall.

Absolutely not. Very small towns even hamlets in Canada have people living in cardboard boxes, people doing drugs openly, and food banks in churches.

Across Canada, living standards are free falling. If the situation is not reversed soon the country will no longer be a first world nation.

The people have lost their way. Such a vast country and every means to survive. Drugs though... hey! If they need to go that way, we shouldn't stop them. They need to want to help themselves. In any tribal system of the past, these free-loaders get shoved out. One needs to be cruel to be kind.

I just feel sorry for the drug addicts that were groomed into it. By dealers, pimps and the seedier elements of humanity.

Canadians are neither socially nor fiscally conservative. Although I have heard the latest generation of young adults (gen z perhaps, not sure) are more conservative than millennials.

It's shocking how quickly Canada has deteriorated......the poverty and crime are more like a developing country.

Crude oil prices have retreated sharply from the highs reached during the U.S.–Iran war, helping to put downward pressure on retail gasoline costs despite lingering uncertainty surrounding shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Transit of crude and other key commodities through the maritime chokepoint has picked up since Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding on June 17 that extended a fragile ceasefire and reopened the strait to commercial traffic.
