Quote from: "RW"Naked women have never been as prominent in Playboy as they have been in other mags like Penthouse or Hustler, etc.

... do you think playboy will survive with this new approach, RW?

No.  I think magazines are a waning medium.

Maybe in the print forum RW..

But even then, I see lots of them in line at Safeway.

... i do too.  never seen anyone buy one though ...

Now that you mention it, me neither the shark hunter.

... i thought i was going to witness someone buying one once.  i was standing in the checkout line and there was a woman behind me who picked up a HELLO magazine and started looking through it.  even that i found to be a rare thing.  i wondered to myself, will she buy it or not?  but alas, after leafing through it she put it back in the rack.  that was the closest thing to a magazine sale in the safeway checkout line i've ever seen ...

... however, i did see a woman purchase a crossword pocketbook from the magazine section once.  and i've started buy HDVIDEOPRO magazine there myself ...

I have in my collection, the first Playboy Magazine which featured a Chinese playmate from 1964.

Quote from: "the shark hunter"... it was announced that PLAYBOY will be eliminating pics of naked women from the magazine ...

... but how can PLAYBOY survive without NAKED LADIES? isn't that what the magazine is all about?

... what's your take on this? is it just a last-gasp publicity gimmick of an already deceased publication? or is there an audience for a family-friendly PLAYBOY magazine?

... any thoughts on this?

I wish I kept my dad's classic Playboys.

Miss China Lee has quite a rack!

Ahem... but as was previously said, paper magazines are becoming redundant with the rise of Internet access. Journalism is becoming a dying industry, so they will have to improvise to draw new subscribers.
