this country will never reach it's potential until this business with the natives is settled..from my point of view we have three options...



1. Using the military resources Canada has at it's disposal we impose a fair settlement and use the army to enforce it.  My first choice but highly highly unlikely.



2. We negotiate a "final solution" to this issue...give the natives nation status, pay them an agreed upon amount of cash....and confine them to their autonomous reservations.....and cut them loose.......again highly unlikely



3. We, in typical weak kneed Canadian fashion, simply pour more and more cash into this sinkhole as the demands get more militant and more irrational...this is the more likely scenario under this government and one which will cause decades of unrest and constant drain on the countries resources at the same time as more resources are needed to cover these increased demands...



the country will continue to get more impoverished over time as the percentage of GDP required to pay for this ethnic blackmail rises. I hate to see this happen, but not many people seem to understand exactly how much this whole native industry drains out of the economy annually....direct payments, ancillary payments for health and education, prisons, welfare etc.....easily 25 to 30 billion annually..unfortunately no one can compile accurate figures as anyone asking is deemed racist....



the whole concept of 600 independent "nations" operating autonomously within Canada is simply bizarre....the vast vast majority of natives have no skills, no education, no experience, have either FAS or Inbred mental issues, addicted to drugs and alcohol and are otherwise completely unable to care for themselves....what does an independent nation reserve of 1500 souls look like....how would they be able to provide schools, homes, emergency services, police, prisons, infrastructure to their constituents....it;s ludicrous....and yet this is what the idle no more crowd would have you believe is best for natives....oh ryly
