Is she an old cat too GrAnnie?

Annie

Yep, she's old, she's 19 and we've had her since she was 9 months old. I'm pretty sure she has some brain damage because ever since the first day we got her she's been a weird cat.  She was a rescue cat from an abusive home.  If she's locked out of a bedroom that she wants in, she will poop right in front of the door.  She also pees on things on the floor like slippers, shoes, bags.  I'm always running around making sure everything is off the floor.   She's very healthy, the vet says she's got a mixture of dementia and brain injury. We've tried to give her away but who wants a neurotic cat? lol

I remember you were going to put her down last year.

Annie

We were thinking about it but no vet will because she's otherwise perfectly healthy.

She doesn't look like an old cat GrAnnie.

Annie

I know, Fash, she still looks like a kitten. She's very small as well and super cuddly, in fact she's not much bigger than when she was 9 months old. I guess her cute cuddly nature is what has been why we've kept her for so long.  And surprisingly for an older kitty, she's quite agile and can still jump and run. I give the old ones powdered glucosamine in their soft food to keep their joints lubricated.

That's good to know when our cat gets older GrAnnie.

Yep, even kitties can get arthritis. No need for them to suffer, it makes a huge difference.
