Here's current situation in Nipigon N Ontario as the only bridge connecting East and West Canada screws up royally

There is no lack of civil engineering firms and contractors IN Canada who could do the job and do it better.

So what's going on then? Is the steel in those cables shrinking that much? Because I'd be worried about metal fatigue and those cables snapping long before their expected life span has been reached.

It's hard to pinpoint what it was with any degree of certainty without viewing the wreckage. I have my suspicions though.
