South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Parasite, has been found dead in an apparent suicide in central Seoul.

Police found the body of the actor, who was 48, in a car near a city park on Wednesday. They believe Lee took his own life, Yonhap news agency reports.

Police said earlier they had received a report that he had left his home after writing a note.

He had been under investigation for alleged illegal drug use since October.

In Parasite, Lee played the patriarch of the wealthy Park family which is infiltrated by members of a poor family posing as unrelated individuals. The vicious social satire won four Oscars, including best picture.

Tom Smothers, half of the Smothers Brothers and the co-host of one of the most socially conscious and groundbreaking television shows in the history of the medium, has died at 86.

The National Comedy Center, on behalf of his family, said in a statement Wednesday that Smothers died Tuesday at home in Santa Rosa, California, following a cancer battle.

"Tom was not only the loving older brother that everyone would want in their life, he was a one-of-a-kind creative partner," his brother and the duo's other half, Dick Smothers, said in the statement. "Our relationship was like a good marriage — the longer we were together, the more we loved and respected one another. We were truly blessed."

Wrestling legend Killer Khan who battled some of the most respected WWE greats died suddenly. Killer Khan whose real name was Masashi Ozawa died on Saturday in Japan. The wrestling star was 76 years old at the time of his sudden death.

According to a report, Killer Khan collapsed around 10 p.m. on Saturday at his Tokyo based restaurant Jinjo Sakaba. Ozawa died suddenly from a ruptured artery, according to reports from Japan.

Richard Romanus, the actor best known for his roles in Mean Streets and The Sopranos, has died, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 80.

Romanus was known for his tough-guy roles including Michael Longo in 1973's Mean Streets. In the Martin Scorsese-directed crime drama, Romanus played a loan shark who gets into a memorable confrontation with Johnny Civello (Robert De Niro).

Romanus also appeared in three episodes of The Sopranos, as the estranged husband of Dr. Jennifer Melfi, Tony Soprano's psychiatrist, from 1999 to 2002.

Actor David Soul, who earned fame as the blond half of crime-fighting duo "Starsky & Hutch" in the popular 1970s television series, has died at the age of 80.

His wife, Helen Snell, said Friday that "David Soul – beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother – died yesterday after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family."

"He shared many extraordinary gifts in the world as actor, singer, storyteller, creative artist and dear friend," she said in a statement. "His smile, laughter and passion for life will be remembered by the many whose lives he has touched."

Soul portrayed detective Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson alongside Paul Michael Glaser as detective David Starsky in "Starsky & Hutch."

Soul and Glaser had cameos in the 2004 big-screen remake of "Starsky & Hutch," starring Ben Stiller as Starsky and Owen Wilson as Hutch.
