He knew the rules and did it anyway. My wife and I got to see him at the Caesars Forum Shops in Vegas signing baseballs saying "I'm sorry I bet on baseball" about 15 years ago and again another time we went. I would have thought they would have lifted the ban by now tho.

Goddamn MLB commissioner is a total douchebag for not letting Pete into the Hall of Fame while he was alive.  It was never proven that Pete had placed bets on the Reds when he was the manager.
