Is Roy Clark still alive?

cc

#406
I believe so. He is in early 80s now

Not sure if appropriate here, but if you like his works this is classic Roy (funny and good)

from The Odd Couple episode "The Roy Clark Show" - The short version of my favourite, Malaguena

If not appropriate as he is still with us, just take it out .. no prob!

I don't do shows (not comfortable in crowds) except for dinner shows  in a small and intimate setting.

Had the luxury of 3 non stop hours of jokes and solos (no backup), maybe 100 in the bar total .. ending of course with his full 7 + minute Malaguena ... it was like 3 hrs of slow sexual buildup as he slowly teased and pleased for hours  ... ending with his pièce de résistance ...  an overpowering  7 minute climax

Everyone was so overwhelmed that there was a good 30 seconds of "could hear a pin drop" silence before people came out of the magical space he had put everyone into and applause started

Have never experienced anything like it  .. .well, ok, not in a dinner pub :sneaky2:

All I remember him from is his annual Labour Day telethon when I was a kid.

He was great at slapstick. Him and Dean Martin made some great musical comedy movies/skits.

I Googled him and that is what he was famous for. That kind of comedy was popular back in the day.
