Rafe Mair, BC broadcasting personality died today.  Strangely, I was just looking through an old photo album today and found a picture of him shaking my hand.  I met him at an event.  He came up to congratulate me on the speech I gave and both of us were just beaming.  



My thoughts are with his family.

I've made "chop cards" for friends and family. I'll make it look "normal" on the outside, they get a kick out of what I put on the inside  



Like my one friend last month, he had jokingly mentioned us in a polka band a month prior. So on the cover of the card was a bored baby, saying how sometimes bday parties can be boring... open it up, and it says "til the polka party band shows up!" and I chopped 4 of us friends onto a polka band at a party lol

This is late of course, but John Dunsworth who played Jim Lahey on the Trailer Park Boys died at the age of seventy one from an undisclosed illness.

Gord Downie, lead singer of the The Tragically Hip succumbed to brain cancer at the young age of 53.

The Tragically Hip were not one of my favourite musical acts, but I recognize their huge contribution to Canada..

This is late of course, but John Dunsworth who played Jim Lahey on the Trailer Park Boys died at the age of seventy one from an undisclosed illness.

My son was sad about that, he loved that show. Said they were in the middle of season 14 or something.
