Okay, I wondered about the putting a down payment to enter a draw for one. If you purchase one, give us a Phil Edmunston lemon aid style honest rating of it.

I'm a tight ass so don't expect hearing of us getting one any time soon :)

Is the Nissan Leaf cheaper?

So it's like sitting on 34 kg of TNT, unless you have the one that's like 70 kg. I need that 'scared' smiley now.

My understanding is there are tons of checks and balances within the battery itself plus it a series of smaller batteries to mitigate a huge blow up. That's in addition to the cooling, fuses, etc.

Well that's all true of course. However...   ac_unsure

They haven't released the Canadian pricing yet but the American Model S starts at $35K so I'm assuming it will be higher in Canada making it indeed more expensive.

I checked and it shows the Leaf base model retailing for $32,698.

Up to $8500 in ON. QC is $8000. BC is up to $5000.

You can get rebates for putting a charging station at home ($600-$1000).
