One of my faves as well Fash.



It's funny but outside the west coast of the US they are considered a fluff band mainly because of the poppy top 40 singles that got them exposure beyond their regional following. The Bangles were actually a highly influential group coming out if that whole "Paisley Underground" movement of the 1980s which was a punk/garage band/psychedelic genre of music. To really appreciate their music you have to push past that pop stuff that they got associated with. Truth is they achieved and to some degree, still have almost a cult following.
